I have updated my website: moved from the “Website Builder” software to the more reliable WordPress! I have also migrated my blog posts from my old WordPress.com blog to my own personal domain (ahmerjamilkhan.org). WordPress is amazing, I must say; it is really easy to use and manage, highly adaptable, easy to customize and has made managing my content easier!
It took some time for me to familiarize myself to the new software, and update/migrate content, and recreate it in some cases, but that was worth it and didn’t take much of my time. The whole thing took about 2 hours to complete. 🙂 This included copying the Google Analytics code and the TraceMyIP.org into my website, setting up plugins and customizing the theme’s code (yep, its hand customized and essentially rewritten)!
I have downloaded Windows Essentials on my Windows 8, and the programs I installed are Windows Live Writer, Windows Live Photo Gallery and Windows Live Movie Maker, skipping Windows Live Mail and Messenger in favor of Mail and Messaging apps of Windows 8.
After setting up Windows Live Writer to post to my website, this is the first post I have written! 😀
That’s all I have to write about right now!
